General Information
Jurisdiction: The incorporated City of Las Vegas
Geographic Scope: Primarily the center-city, western, and northwestern portions of the valley
Key Boundaries:
- North: Extends up to the Sheep Mountain and Centennial Hills areas (Skye Canyon, Floyd Lamb Park).
- East: Shares a jagged border with North Las Vegas, roughly following Decatur Boulevard, Rancho Drive, and portions of I-15/Nellis area.
- South: Bordered by unincorporated Clark County. The boundary generally runs along Sahara Avenue, though it weaves north and south of Sahara in certain stretches (e.g., the Section 10 neighborhood and parts of Summerlin).
- West: Extends to the edge of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, encompassing the master-planned community of Summerlin (specifically Summerlin North and West).
- Key Landmarks Covered: Downtown Las Vegas, Fremont Street Experience, the Smith Center, Strat Hotel & Casino (the physical tower sits just inside the city limits), Centennial Hills, and Summerlin Hospital.
