General Information
Jurisdiction: Unincorporated Clark County.
Geographic Scope: This is the largest jurisdiction in the valley. CCFD covers all areas of the metropolitan valley that are not inside the limits of the three incorporated cities listed above, as well as rural areas of Clark County.
Key Areas Covered:
- The Las Vegas Strip: Although commonly referred to as “Las Vegas,” the entire Strip (including areas like Paradise and Winchester) is unincorporated county land. CCFD has sole jurisdiction here.
- Spring Valley & Enterprise: The massive residential boom areas in the southwest and south-central valley.
- Sunrise Manor & Whitney: The eastern urban areas of the valley nestled against the Frenchman Mountain range.
- Lone Mountain (unincorporated pockets): Various unincorporated “islands” surrounded by the City of Las Vegas.
- Rural Areas: Mt. Charleston, Blue Diamond, Laughlin, Searchlight, and Coyote Springs.
- Key Landmarks Covered: The Las Vegas Strip resorts (Bellagio, Caesars Palace, MGM Grand, etc.), Harry Reid International Airport, Allegiant Stadium, T-Mobile Arena, and Red Rock Resort.
