General Information
Jurisdiction: The incorporated City of North Las Vegas.
Geographic Scope: The northern and northeastern portions of the valley.
Key Boundaries:
- North & East: Extends into the undeveloped desert areas north of the standard valley grid, wrapping around Nellis Air Force Base (which maintains its own military fire department but coordinates closely with NLVFD).
- South: Bordered largely by Owens Avenue and portions of the Union Pacific railroad tracks, separating it from the City of Las Vegas and unincorporated Sunrise Manor.
- West: Bordered by Decatur Boulevard (separating it from the City of Las Vegas’s northwest territory).
- Key Landmarks Covered: Aliante Casino & Hotel, Craig Ranch Regional Park, Apex Industrial Park, and the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System hospital.
